Sandwich Winding
The primary winding is split into two sections, with the secondary winding sandwiched in between (primary-secondary-primary) to minimize leakage inductance and boost energy efficiency. Widely used in fast-charging transformers, it demands precise control of turn counts and insulation across all layers.
Sectional Winding
The primary or secondary winding is divided into multiple independent sections, connected in series or parallel to reduce distributed capacitance and adapt to high-frequency operation (such as GaN chargers). It requires the production line to feature automatic section switching and tap generation capabilities.
Insulation Tape Layer Winding
After completing each layer or winding, a layer of insulation tape is automatically wrapped. This is the most universal process for switching transformers, requiring the production line to integrate automatic taping functions with zero tape offset and no trapped air bubbles.
Consistent Leakage Inductance Performance
Leakage inductance directly affects transformer efficiency and EMI performance. Automated lines precisely control the coupling distance between windings and insulation thickness, minimizing batch-to-batch leakage inductance fluctuation to help end products easily pass global safety certifications.
Auto Taping & Soldering to Minimize Manual Intervention
Yite lines can integrate automatic tape wrapping, wire cutting, wire arranging, and even automatic transfer to soldering stations, completing full transformer coil processing fully automatically to avoid inter-turn short circuits caused by human error.
Traceable Data to Meet Quality System Requirements
The equipment records winding parameters for every single coil (turn count, tension, tape wrap cycles, etc.), which can be uploaded to MES systems to meet the batch traceability requirements of consumer electronics customers.
With over 20 years of specialization in switching power transformer winding equipment, Eternal offers a full range of production lines from single-axis to multi-axis, from semi-manual to fully automatic configurations. Our multi-axis production lines can wind multiple coils in one single cycle, equipped with high-precision tensioners and taping units compatible with various wire gauges.
Targeting the miniaturization trend of fast chargers, we have developed dedicated automatic micro-bobbin feeding and winding solutions. We also assist customers in optimizing winding processes (such as parallel winding, tap leading, and shielding layers) to boost product efficiency. Remote commissioning and responsive after-sales hotline support are guaranteed to keep your production running non-stop.
